The Rubik's Duel on Skype

Skype Version 4

The brief, jointly developed by Poke and Skype asked for a simple, globally accessible video that explained the cool new features of Skype version 4.0 as well as reminding people of the stuff they've always loved about it.

Part demonstration, part entertainment. The video had to to show how to use v4.0 but also deal with the "why would I?" question head on.

Because the video lives in the heavily trafficked entry section of the site it meant the brief didn't contain the thorny objective of "going viral". Which meant we could concentrate on getting the details right rather than pulling out cheap viral gags.

Poke worked closely with Flynn who produced the piece. Thanks to Nick and the team.

Anyway, enough chit-chat. Here it is...

On set we also got the pro-rubiks-cube-kid (who plays the skilled arm of granny - will make sense when you see it) to perform some superb cube skills. Check 'em.

You can download Skype 4.0 from here. And you should. It's great. Seriously. We're only a teeny-tiny bit biased.
