Get on Board With The WWF

A project for WWF. The objective is to create interest and noise around the climate change bill. Ultimately driving people to lobby their MP to push for a stronger climate change bill.

The WWF (and Poke too for that matter) believe that we need to push for a stronger climate change bill.

Currently the bill doesn't include shipping and aviation. They're currently the biggest growth areas for carbon emissions. If they don't get included it's estimated that they could undo all of the good that's being done in other areas of the bill.

It's a bit like going on a diet, but not giving up eating lots and lots of chocolate (that's not our analogy we're borrowing it from Friends of the Earth).

This omission is just one of the oversights that we're pushing to get looked at.

So what are we doing?

Well we're building a massive paper boat and paper aeroplane (don't worry they're being made out of 'good' paper and we're going to make sure that they're disposed of in the right and proper fashion). Then we're going to do something with them that's going to make as much of the right kind of noise as we possibly can. Obviously staying within the boundaries of taste, decency and the law.

Everyone who signs up to 'get on board' and lobby their MP will have their name proudly displayed on the plane and the boat.

There's lots of things yet to be decided, and we've still not worked out how we're going to do a lot of stuff. But we think that's part of what makes this whole thing interesting.

First things first, go and lobby your MP here. Or if you're one of those detailly people that needs more information on WWF, the climate change bill and why we think it needs to be stronger go here.

Finally to find out how the boat and plane are getting on and how you can get more involved visit the blog and watch the story un-fold (sorry).
