Great news for Poke and our partners on these exciting projects. We're down to the final five nominees in two categories at this year's Webbys Awards. Not quite up there with the BBC's nine nominations, but not bad for a small outfit from London's East End. We're really happy that our work together with our friends at Aqueduct for Manchester City FC has made it through in an incredibly competitive Sports field, and that our homegrown project for The Albion Bakery - BakerTweet - has also made it into the running.
Manchester City Football Club has been nominated in the Sports website category.
Bakertweet has been nominated in the Online Guerilla & Innovation interactive advertising category.
The Webbys award two separate trophies (well car springs really). One is voted for by the members of the academy. The second - The People's Voice - can be voted for by anyone with access to the Internet and the will to register to vote. If you've got the will, we've got the work worth voting for.
So, go on, sign-up, log-in and vote, vote vote. The Webby People's Voice voting starts on April 13th and ends April 29th.
Hundreds of social media enthusiasts and marketing experts gathered at Fabric in London for the awards which are the first of their kind to be held, recognising the importance of Twitter as a tool in the digital age.
We’d like to thank and dedicate the award to all the supporters who voted for @mcfc.

This week we proudly brought home two new Webby Awards for the fifth year on the trot. Orange’s Balloonacy campaign caught the Judges’ eye in the Telecommunications category, and our work with Lonely Planet blitzed the Travel category winning the People’s Voice public vote. Er, bish and bosh.
We’re very happy about the five years bit. Only the BBC with gazillions of cash has managed the same feat, so we at little Poke are quite chuffed.
Course, we couldn’t have done it without our clients. Endless respect and wallopy high fives to the people who gave us the opportunity and scope to achieve what we have. It’s been an honour.
And we haven’t forgotten that we hassled, cajoled and bribed many of you into voting for us. Thanks a million if you heeded the call. It really does mean a great deal.
*shuffles feet and stares intently at floor*
We’ll be off now, before we do a Gwyneth and embarrass ourselves.

For the fifth year running we're proper chuffed to be up for four Webby People's Voice awards. We'd like you to help us land a trophy or two with your votes.
The Balloonacy campaign for Orange has been nominated in three categories and our work with Lonely Planet has been nominated once. You have to register and login at the Webby website before you can cast your vote, and there's a myriad of categories, so we hope the following directions (and shameless back-handers) sweeten the ask.
Once you're signed up and in, hit the Website icon on the bottom left hand side first. Scroll down to 'Services' and you'll find Orange's Balloonacy in Telecommunications and Lonely Planet in Travel. Then head to the Interactive Advertising light bulb icon on the top right hand side of the page. Here Balloonacy is nominated twice, first in Game or Application and then Online Guerilla & Innovation. Make sense?
At the time of writing, Lonely Planet is in the lead, with Balloonacy needing a bump up from third and fourth places in the other categories.
So give us a boost, we're most grateful. Cheque's in the post ;-)
All good things, and all bad things too, come in threes. That's just how the world works. No matter how hard you try you can't mess with destiny. And it's not just superstition. We can prove it. We've had a few strange things happen with awards for Orange Balloonacy recently...
Last night Orange Balloonacy won Creative Showcase Grand Prix creative campaign of the year. Which was nice. Not to be ungrateful, but there is a minor 'issue' with the award. Spot it?
Number 13 is unlucky for some, but such superstitions don’t apply to the Webby Awards.
Now in its (yep, you guessed it) 13th year, our very own Nik Roope urges you as Webby Ambassador to enter your wicked and wondrous work for consideration. You might even win and who wouldn’t want a lovely coiled spring nestling in their trophy cabinet?
It’s easy to enter: simply summon the chutzpah to show off your creativity and inventiveness from the past year and submit your entry.
The deadline is Friday 19th December. That’s only a week away, so why on earth are you still reading this? You should be filling out your form already, which can be found right here on the Webby Awards site.
Best of luck to all you talented people.

Last Thursday night Poke were named Creative Agency of the Year at the Interactive Marketing and Advertising Awards. A joint venture between Marketing Week and New Media Age.
We are happy about this. Thank you.
