If you've ever used Yahoo! Messenger you might have come across Audibles, if you haven't then you probably won't have done.

They're basically like little animated snippets that you can send over IM to your mates. There should be a few of them over there on the left for you to play with. If not something's gone wrong. Whoops.

Poke were commissioned to come up with some new UK-centric Audibles for Messenger. All of the ones that come bundled with the application are really really American. And not in a good way.

So we made some funny ones, some useful ones, lots of regional ones and a bunch that I don't think anyone understands.

All culturally a bit more British.

They worked. As soon as we'd launched the UK versions they became firm favourites with the UK audience and outperformed the US ones massively. Rule Britannia indeed ;-)
