Virgin Racing 2010

The brief:

Turn a brand new, inexperienced F1 team into a property that both sponsors and fans want a piece of.

Poke’s answer:

Make Virgin Racing the most open, transparent and accessible team online – the team that says ‘yes’ to its fans.

Nitty gritty

We created a website that delivers what fans want: the big picture, straight up news, opinion and lifestyle content. Sat alongside this was a media site to support the F1 journalist community and the Virgin Racing PR team, as well as a strong social media presence that included live tweeting during race events.

We also trained and inspired the team to make the most of these culturally important channels. All of this enabled them to punch well above their weight in terms of communications, allowing them to effectively woo new, larger sponsors.
