The World's First Balloon Race Across The Internet
Generate awareness of Orange's animal price plans amongst social network savvy 16-24 year old. That was the brief. So we came up wtih a balloon race across the internet. Something that people could play and interact with regardless of whether they're a blogger, a Beboer, a MySpacer, a Facebooker or a whateverer.
And if you're a site owner or a blogger you can get the balloon race to pass over your site, briging you new eyeballs and making you part of something a little bit special.
The prize was a super-deluxe villa holiday in Ibiza for you and a bunch of mates. The prize, along with the kudos of winning, encouraged peopel to recruit their chums to give them extra boost. This could be done using widgets and all that kind of new-fangled jazz.
And what else..
Well there were warp rainbows. And a flashy 3d PaperVision map of the internet. And spot prizes. And lots of people played it a lot. And millions of poeple saw it. And thousands of sites applied to be part of it. And lots of people worked very hard. But nobody died. Hooray!
