Localised stuff for parents and schools.
Words written on paper about the campaign.
Jamie Oliver's campaign to improve school meals by removing turky twizzlers and eyelid burgers from the menu was a massive success. At least in terms of genrating awareness and getting the government to pledge to give an extra few pence per child per meal (still not nearly enough in our eyes, but it's a start).
Not sure it's totally solved stupidity and obesity in young people, at least not by looking at the kids round my street. Anyway...
He couldn't have done it without the Internet.
The site was a massive focal point for the campaign and it was the place where a huge majority of signups came from. The site was also the place that schools could get information from including recipies, tips, and lobbying tools.
The site became an active community of campaigners, supporters and dinner ladies and went on to win a Webby Award in the Activism category.
