Making a travel guide isn't so hard...
Milan looks nice.
It's making me want to forget all about carbon emissions.
Get it online. Download it. Or Buy the Book. Cool.
And podcasts, and commerce.
And user generated guides and reviews.
The big idea behind the site is to let people create their own Eyewitness travel guides with just the stuff that they want, and none of the stuff that they don't.
So that means no more guide books with churches in for satan worshipers. Or you can leave out the bar section if you're a nun. The insight that triggered this idea is that 70% of travelers use guides, but only 25% of those guides are actually consumed. Most of it is dead weight. And no-one likes dead weight. Especially in a bag. It's murder on your posture.
Then we added in stuff like UGC components which fatten-up the content database.
There's a community that can rate and review places and people can share their travel itineraries.
These personalised guides can be purchased for £2.50 in PDF form, or for £10 you can get a personalised properly printed one-off bespoke book, delivered straight to your door, or hotel.
