Poke is a creative company. A creative company that focuses on inventing and making interactive things.
Most of the work you'll see if you look in our portfolio is web based. Mainly because the Internet is the biggest and most interesting space we can play in right now. And the web is the bit that gives us the most opportunity to do genuinely creative things.
But we're not just interested in doing creative things for the sake of it. We're motivated by inventing creative ways to use all of this good stuff to do things better. Better for businesses and better for people who use the things we make.
If that sounds a bit vague and a bit wooly we don't mind that. We'd rather not put ourselves in a box that might limit how we're thought of and what we're allowed to do. Especially as it's all changing so fast.
If you're determined to pin us down the best place to start is probably the portfolio. Hopefully you'll be able to get a feel for the kinds of things we do by looking at what we've done. You should be able to find a massive range of things, from banner campaigns through to massive commerce sites via a load of other bits and bobs.
In a word: "Yno".
It's a bit of a tricky one really. We believe that everything a company does communicates. From the biggest TV campaigns down to the error message you get when you can't find something on a website.
As the media landscape fragments we're concentrating on making brilliant interactive things (or as good as we can possibly make them) that communicate in the right way. We want to build experiences, digital products, services, content, the things that people engage with. Sometimes you might be able to call them advertising, other times they're not.
This is one of the Qs we most F get A. So we've built a special page to deal with it. Visit the working with Poke section for more info.
The short answer is no. Not unless you are actually X and you need exactly the same solution that you needed when we did that thing for you before, which would be really odd.
Of course there are occasions when a piece of technology or a technique we've used might be appropriate for another company. But we think it'd be much better to look at what your needs are and cook something up together. Our business is most definitely not building templates or technology. The thing that excites us is coming up with new and better things each and every time we sit down and face a problem, and it'll be more exciting for you too, really it will.
Absolutely. Poke was founded on the principle of partnership. There's some more information on partnership on the working with Poke page.
If you're just lonely or have something to get off your chest there might be better places to go. But if you want to talk about working with Poke or find out more about what we do check the Contact Us page, there's various ways that you can get in touch.
